The world of design is a mystery to many who observe it.
To others, it is a playground where they may indulge in the investigation of talent and vision.

Truthfully, the realm of design is a combined effort of natural inclination and the understanding of arrangement, planning, and assembly. To design is more than just putting pencil to paper, or hand to mouse, in hopes that something beautiful will evolve from nothingness. Design is the ability to think beforehand, to consider multiple possibilities, to envision a variety of potential goals…and to execute those ideas.

Learning the tools of design is essential. To attempt to build without understanding how tools work is often-times an exercise in frustration and futility, even disaster on occasion. As is the case with any industry, no apprentice is expected or required to illustrate, fabricate, or assemble without the strict guidance of an instructor. And, it is because of this policy that raw talent becomes refined into very strong skills, tempered by cold-hard vision and a wide range of experience.

The end result? The end result is what continues to perpetuate the mystery for the many, and what continues to stimulate the desire for those who wish to investigate their talent and expression.
