The work you do on this project is an attempt to catpure your favorite band or artist's attention. Maybe they'll pay you for your work. Maybe they'll hire you for work in the future. This kind of wok is reffered to as "Spec Art" - sellable art that was not created on contract or even requested, but hopefully will move the targeted audience to buy it.

This Graphic Design project must be saved as a multi-page PDF, and saved in the appropriate location on the server, in order to be considered a "Completed Assignment"

Package Design

Assignment: Design the packaging for a product. In this case a compact disk. You need to design a cover, a back and sides, and the CD itself.

• The band you are creating a CD art package for is of your choice
• Make sure it is appropriate for high school.
• You need to design some kind of logo for the band, song titles, copyright information.
• Sketch three thumbnails and one comp for your logo
• Use Adobe Illustrator to design the logo.
• Use Adobe Photoshop to create custom graphics and image manipulation

Make sure you have a tracklist (list of songs) on the cd packaging . Do some research. Look at what other artists have done.
