This Graphic Design project must be saved as a multi-page PDF, and saved in the appropriate location on the server, in order to be considered a "Completed Assignment"

From time to time, Artists and designers are approached with the task of creating (or recreating) a brochure. There are many kinds of brochures, from a single two-sided brochure to a thri-fold brochure with six panels (front and back) of information. Your task, for this exercise, is to recreate a tri-fold brochure.

Keep in mind that a tri-fold brochure isn't merely just a piece of paper folded over on itself. There are specific dimensions that you must be aware of. For instance, if you were to create a tri-fold brochure out of an 8.5 inch by 11 inch piece of paper (as you are for this exercise), you can't take eleven inches and divide it up into three sections. The folds cause spacing issues which then causes designers to rethink how to fit their graphics and information on the page.

Instead, we take eleven inches and allocate the front cover to be 3.75 inches, with the back panel as 3.75 inches, and the last panel 3.5 inches.

3.75 + 3.75 + 3.5 = 11!

The only reason to be concerned with the top-to-bottom dimensions is because of the spacing needed to place text and images. Click here to view the sample Brochure's front and back!

Your job is to recreate this brochure by using your own graphics and photographs.

WARNING! THE CURRENT BROCHURE IS PRESENTLY BORING! It's time to take it up a notch. Its time to try and impress your teacher and PLTW with a new and fresh look. Keep in mind that you can change whatever you like, but the logo must remain intact - NO ALTERATIONS! We don't want to make PLTW mad at us.

I want different layers to be used for these purposes

Layer 1: Text (the layer is to be labeled as "Text"

Layer 2: Images and Photographs (the layer is to be labeled as "Images and Photographs")

Layer 3: lines, vectors, and shapes (the layer is to be labeled as "Lines, Vectors, and Shapes ")

Experiment with

Use Adobe Illustrator to perform all of your layout (text and vector graphic) work.!

Use Photoshop only on graphical elements that will be used as eye-candy.

Use Adobe Acrobat Professional to "Combine Files" (page 1 and page 2) together, to create a multi-page PDF (Portable Document Format) file.
