Observe the Class Rules
During
the Reformation period, the printing press became the primary
means to move information and propaganda to the people. And,
because it was such a powerful vessel to disseminate knowledge
and insight, at such a fast pace, the age-old scribes who
were formerly responsible for re-recording ancient texts were
put out of business practically overnight. The new methods
of printing, using automation and technology as the primary
tools, have become a mainstay discipline for over five hundred
years. Today, we still use many of the old ways of printing
to distribute (and redistribute) information, while incorporating
modern conveniences into the process. From
screen printing to offset, from computerized illustration
to digital duplication, our students are still indulging in
keeping printing very much alive and well in the high-speed
world of the Internet and cellular technologies.
