Printing Instructions for Windows Computers

Before printing a document, be sure that there is at least a .25 inch boarder around your pagewhere no part of your design exists, as well as along folded edges and center lines (Use the rulers and guides in Photoshop and/or Illustrator to double check). This area is known as the "non printable area."

  1. Save your document as an Adobe PDF document. DO NOT PRINT FROM ILLUSTRATOR OR PHOTOSHOP.
  2. You must select the proper printers in Windows Control Panel
  3. Set the "Default Printer" to the appropriate IP address.
    • Color Prints: Xerox Phaser 7760
    • Mylar Prints: HP 5000N (PRINTING MYLAR SHEETS IS ONLY TO BE DONE ON THE HP 5000N. DO NOT USE MYLAR IN THE XEROX PHASER 7760 PRINTER. MYLAR SHEETS WILL MELT AND DESTROY THE XEROX!)
    • Digital Duplicator: 10.10.20.249
  4. Depending on what size paper you want to print on, you must change the settings of Adobe Acrobat's Print Preferences dialogue box.
    • US Letter for 8.5" x 11" (aka: a normal sheet of paper)
    • Tabloid for 11" x 17" (aka: a long sheet of paper, or the "Big Paper" to some)
  5. Open your PDF document in Adobe Acrobat. (You must change the printer settings before you open Acrobat. Otherwise, your printer settings will not take effect). In the Print Dialogue Box, be sure to set "Page Scaling" to "None"Make sure "Collate" is unchecked
  6. Print.
  7. Collect your print out from the printer.
